Testimony: I always knew there was a God but never knew of Jesus'sacrifice on the cross. I thought: He is up there minding His own business, and I'm down here minding my own.
I had my share of sins during my teenage years and I thank God now for protecting me in these times. It could have turned for the worst. My drive for independence flew me from France all the way to the States. I got married, faking love, only thinking of starting a new life in the US. One day, feeling lonely, depressed, disgusted with the world and hopeless, I decided to go and look for God. I had tried many other things and everything failed. So, I went to different churches. All of them were lifeless and mostly loveless. I gave up my search. Fortunately, God did not give up. One Sunday morning, as I was going to the supermarket, I turned on the radio in the car. Guess who was talking! An evangelist from a pentacostal church! As he was preaching, God opened my eyes and softened my heart. I knew I had to go and listen to that evangelist. How convenient, that evangelist was from a church near my neighborhood! The next Sunday, I ran there. How different these people were than from the other churches I've been. There were so happy, so friendly, so loving! I knew God was real then and I wanted Him. After the service, several people who had spotted me as a newbie asked me if I was saved. I said: "huh???". They took their bible and explained to me what it meant and told me that they would pray for me to come to Christ. Well, I continued coming to that church until one day, drowned in tears, I answered the altar call. The next service I was baptized. It was so wonderful!!!
Thank you so much Lord for your love I never meritted. Thank you for not giving up on me. Help me to live for You!!
