Are not two sparrows sold for an assarion? And one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Therefore do not fear, you are of more value than many sparrows. Matthew 10:29-31
Good luck!
We hear this all the time. Some even say this frequently. Ive been wondering for some time now. Should a Christian wish someone “good luck”? We say God is in control. Since He is in control, since we believe that, why would we need to wish good luck on someone? Shouldn’t we instead wish Gods blessings on someone, or wish them well? Do we even need luck?
This is something Ive felt convicted about for awhile now. It may seem like a trivial thing, but in wishing someone luck for a moment it seems as if we forget whom we are to cast our cares onto, whom we are to trust for all of our needs.
Therefore be humbled under the mighty hand of God, so that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your anxiety onto Him, for He cares for you. 1Peter 5:6-7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God which passes all understanding shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
