Over the last few weeks i have noticed a trend in chat that seems disturbing. Normally, i would address this elsewhere but it is a thought of mine and maybe one that bears a look at.
The moderators are expected to be cheerful, upbeat, knowledgable and caring. They are all of those things. But Satan works on the moderators in all the same ways he works on everyone else. Whether it is personal loss, pain, illness or whatever the circumstance might be. Like everyone else who comes in we have times of depression, and ups and downs. Satan works the same no matter who it is if they are trying to serve God. The following passage is important not just because it talks about the armor of God but there is an interesting note at the end of the passage. The passage is found in Ephesians 6:10-19. We all know the passage because Paul talks about the armor of God. Vs. 18-19 tho are the key to this post:
“Praying with all prayer and supplication in the spirit, being watchful to the end with all perserverance and supplication for all the saints and for me that utterance may be given to me. that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystety of the gospel for which I am an ambassador in chains: that in it i may speak boldly, as i ought to speak.”
Please pray for the moderators that we may boldly speak the truth in love. Understand they are people too, not just bots!

Good point Steve. I know I have days when Im just not feeling up to par. It helps to have the prayers and understanding of the chatters. Sometimes it is nice when I feel like that, to just come in and watch chat. Nice to see the fellowship of the believers.
Despite current beliefs of certain chatters, Jade is not a bot lol.

You know, I think we expect the mods to always have a positive attitude, because you are in authoritive positions, so I am glad you posted this. Ya’ll have my support and prayers, and the chatters ears.
“Mods are people, too.” LOL

I am glad you wrote this steve. As a woman in a position of leadership in the church I am ever mindful of the fact that my every move is being watched by someone. And yes, I have my bad days too. I think it is even harder when you are in a position of leadership in which you can’t be physically seen, such as body language and facial expressions. Therefore your every word said can be disected by many who dont really know you to begin with. It can be an extemely hard position to be called to by God. I am sure I am just as guilty as the next guy for trying to figure out a certain mood of the moderator at the time. I dont see you as a “Bot” though and I hope many others share my opinion. I will be in prayer for your ministry as I hope you will also be in prayer for me when I come into one of the rooms, that I am not a hinderance to God’s work, but a child of God who he is not finished working on yet, but who is willing to be used by him.
